Logo of Extreme Ascent Trek Pvt. Ltd. with mountain and trekking imagery.

Extreme Ascent Trek Pvt. Ltd. is a Nepal-based, locally owned and government-licensed mountaineering and trekking company renowned for its exceptional safety record, technical expertise, and extensive experience in providing expedition support across the Himalayas. With a highly skilled crew of guides — many with multiple 6,000 m and 8,000 m summits — they excel in adventure training, logistics, route preparation, high-altitude leadership, and rescue capability.

For our ascent of Lobuche East, the expedition will be led by Mingma Chhiri Sherpa, a certified NNMGA Guide and accomplished high-altitude mountaineer respected for his professionalism, mountaineering skill, and extensive Himalayan experience. Having a leader of Mingma’s calibre ensures that the climb is undertaken with the highest standards of safety, expertise, and respect for the mountain, further enhancing our commitment.

Extreme Ascent Trek’s partnership is central to the success of Climbing for Cancer, providing both the technical foundation and local knowledge necessary to make this journey possible.

OLOC Adventures is an Australian adventure training and leadership development company founded by renowned mountaineer and expedition leader Luke Richmond. Known for transformative outdoor experiences around the world, OLOC Adventures helps people build resilience, confidence, and capability through challenging treks and high-altitude expeditions.

Alongside his expedition support work, Luke operates Calibrate Training, a specialised performance and mindset coaching program that prepares individuals for demanding physical and mental challenges. His extensive mountaineering partnerships — including expeditions across the Himalayas, the Seven Summits, and remote wilderness regions — position him as one of Australia’s most respected adventure mentors.

For the Climbing for Cancer expedition, Luke is mentoring and training James throughout the lead-up to the April 2026 summit attempt of Lobuche East. Through Calibrate Training, Luke is guiding James’ physical preparation, strength and endurance development, altitude conditioning, and the mental resilience required for a 6,000-metre climb. His structured coaching and steady leadership have played a significant role in helping James grow as both a young climber and a person.

OLOC Adventures and Calibrate Training bring world-class expertise, motivation, and mentorship to this mission, and their support is a vital part of the Climbing for Cancer journey.
